Humble beginings of our BV Limaye Blood Bank in 1997

Rotary Club of New Panvel considered a star perfomer of District 3131, covers the area of New Panvel in Navi Mumbai, encompassing both East & West New Panvel.

New Panvel is strategically located on the eastern side of the Mumbai-Pune National Highway NH4. Being at the gateway to Mumbai and at the head of Raigad District, it has the advantage of being located at a place with a proximity to the interiors and a highly developed urban population of the megapolis of Mumbai as neighbours. This offers us great opportunities to serve various communities.

New Panvel with the presence of a modern railway station and bus terminus is well connected by road and rail from all over the country. Panvel happens to be the terminating station of Mumbai Suburban Railway's Harbour Line. Also, the Konkan Railway connecting Mumbai to South India passes through the busy Panvel railway terminus.

New Panvel comprises of an area of 515 hectares, and the town is divided in two parts - New Panvel East and New Panvel West (commonly known as Khanda Colony where we are situated).

New Panvel is surrounded by small hills from three sides. It has a beautiful landscape, greenery, varied types of birds. Picnic spots like Karnala Bird Sanctuary, Gadeshwar Dam and Zenith Falls are also nearby.

New Panvel is only 3 km away from the proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport work on which is now commencing. The NMIA is expected to be functional by 2021. A Special Economic Zone too is coming up in the vicinity. It has a number of schools, colleges and hospitals to meet the needs of its residents.
